Creating System Exclusive in a Score

An anthem score is designed to contain all the information necessary to play a piece correctly no matter how complex your studio.  In order to allow you to customize a score as much as possible, Anthem allows you to embed System Exclusive messages within a track in a score using a provided hexidecimal editor.

First select the score track that you wish to contain a system exclusive message.  In the track tool palette, select the system exclusive drawing mode as shown below.

 











Then click on the left most button of the track tool palette to change the mode of the score track to show system exclusive events.

Select the System Exclusive Tool using the button on the Track Tool Palette

 





While hold holding the option key down,  click into the track to create a System Exclusive Event within the track.  The System Exclusive Editor will appear.  Use the keyboard to type the hex values of your system exclusive message.  Do NOT enter the beginning and ending status bytes of the System Exclusive message yourself.   The editor will do that for you. The ascii value of your message will appear to the right in the editor window.

 








Once you have completed your message, close the editor and the new event will appear in the track window as shown below.
